Consisting of Sabrina Chaparro, Marlene Feller, Robin Khorrami, and Daniel Knöpfler, Defiance embodies a powerful sound of a new generation of hardcore/punk that not only makes music but also sends clear messages, reminiscent of the old-timers in the scene.
In “Blossom,” there is no overarching theme, yet the love for music and the collective joy of creative expression are foregrounded. This EP is a blossoming work of art that addresses societal injustices as well as celebrates personal freedom and development. Each track speaks volumes about the necessity for change and the pursuit of a fairer coexistence, whether it’s condemning economic exploitation, addressing the challenges of life as a woman, or combating homophobia.
With “Blossom,” Defiance establishes itself as a voice of inclusion and resistance, deserving attention not only in Germany but also internationally. Prepare to be swept away by this dynamic EP that promises to cause a stir both on stage and within the scene. The voice of a new generation!
